Our first product was designed and manufactured, the Supreme Fruit Picker, in 1988. It was also in this year that Bill’s younger brother, Alex Seawright, joined the partnership. Alex introduced engineering services and expanded the retail products to include a much broader agricultural industry supply base. In 1990, Innisfail Bearing Supplies became ABS Engineering Supplies to highlight the fact that hardware and engineering supplies were sold as well as bearings and seals. It is this strong family commitment that has helped our company survive and prosper behind lasting two cyclones and a flood. In 2006, Cyclone Larry caused irreparable structural damage, more than 136,00 worth of ruin to equipment and machinery and more than 50,00 worth of stock was destroyed. Despite suffering major physical devastate and losing thousands of dollars worth of stock, we have overcome these obstacles to become the highly successful, innovative business we are today.
